Abstracts

Léonce de Lavergne, thoroughly liberal, described the French history: our last kings, the French Revolution and the first half of the 19th century. He also studied the economy of foreign countries : Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and especialy the United-Kingdom. He pointed French Agriculture was far beyond the English one. The remedy he enhanced was Liberty, home and International Liberty. " He was essentially a liberal ", remarqued his biographer, Ernest Cartier
